Boric acid syrup is pretty easy. Comes in a squeeze bottle, put it in their trail and they take it back to nest. I was given some when I had a sugar ant invasion of the room i was extracting honey in. Still putting some out a few weeks later when there was another active ant trail to the refrigerator, but seemed to knock them back within a few days.
