Subject: RE: question on Windows 10 and Linux

Your first and best defense against problems online is to have a different password for every critical site.

Do NOT use your newagtalk password for any credit card or bank site. I have a password I use for all the stuff I don't care about like forums and classified ad sites. Then for every credit card and bank account I have a unique, tough password.

If you don't go to the shady places on the web and you keep Windows 10 up to date and have some sort of antivirus (default Windows 10 stuff probably fine) then you shouldn't have issues. Windows 10 is relatively secure compared to most precious Windows generations.

Do not let that discourage you from learning Linux though. It's a good tool to have in your pocket.

Heck you can download an Ubuntu Live CD (actually putting it on a thumb drive is more desiresble now) and get a taste with no risk to your system. In fact you can probably be satisfied using the Live USB anytime you're on the net without ever actually installing Linux on your system.
