I take empty containers from tin butter and fill them 1/3 full and freeze them. Fill them more than that and they seem to brake pretty quickly. Takes about 8 of them to fill my 1 gal jug the way I like it. I break them in half with a butter knife as they go in so everything fits better. I like cold water and that stays cold all day. Might have to refill jug though because there is less room for water with all that ice. Sometimes I have it empty the first time after half a day.
