scmn | Holsteins are pretty mild so long as you stay away from the Red & White Holsteins, they seem to have more of an attitude.
I know what you mean, the playing field seems to be more level with the dairy steers. FWIW the steer at the show was Edward, he was like a giant teddy bear after he broke to lead.
If your daughter likes the Swiss and that is what she wants to show then show a Swiss. I just think the Holstein would place better in the class; however, showing for kids is about learning and the experience and winning is not everything. | |
