North Central Texas | For some reason I live in a spot that has forest service grazing allotments next door and the Mormon temple a few miles to the south. We have a few Mormon ranches and they aren't typical. The old men were as you describe but once they made their fortunes and became elders, several as a group informed the others that what is mine is mine if you still want our contributions. They quit sharing the recreational use of their places but keep a small pasture of cows that belong to the church. The younger guys are good businessmen and you would never know they were Mormon. | |
