Subject: RE: Cattle on Failed Corn

Beresford, SD
Uffda! I have a good friend in central SD, he said his corn is so bad it's not worth the cost to chop.......could he turn out his cows in the failed corn after the first of the year and be ok? It's fired up and hip high. He said custom cutter would want to windrow it down with a 32' draper head and put two windrows together in order to chop it. Expensive feed! He was hoping to just graze it this winter......at least the farms with good fences.
