Had a guy here lose 12 back in May.  Said they looked fine, you'd be standing there watching them graze and they'd just fall over dead.  Turned out to be nitrate poisoning, but haven't figured out from where yet.  Water and ground samples came back clear, as did the tissue samples from pasture they were running on.  Total of about 50 head in same pasture, and only 12 affected.
