You don't say what kind of tractor, acreage, or terrain you're looking at.

Unless you already run larger tractors, stick with 15 feet. You can start with a 75 horse tractor, and later upgrade to 150 horse with no loss of efficiency. If your fields are very clean, go for a lighter weight model. It will be a lot easier on a small tractor. If you have rocks, ruts, stumps, brambles, and trees, pick something heavier.

We bought a bush-hog 2615L and pulled it for many years with 2wd JD 2750(75-hp). It only worked on our hills because the heavy loader held the front end of the tractor down. Still, there were hills you just didn't try, because the mower pushed to hard. We pull this mower with a 150-hp 2wd now, and it's a lot easier.

A friend pulls a 2615L with a JD 5525 4wd(75 pto hp), and gets by tolerably well.
