west central ohio | About 10 years ago had a bull that screwed up one of his rear hooves during his busy time. Called my local vet out and he looked at it...asked if I had a 1" piece of oak wood..said yes and handed it to him..he traced his hoof on it and gave it back to me and said cut that out... Had chain saw in the truck and got it close to the shape he wanted. He glued it on their and wrapped it and a few shots for infection...back to breeding 3 days later. His wooden shoe fell off a few weeks later and everybody was bred..
If no chute is available I would really think about using some rombin (spelling ?? ) a few cc he will lay down and safe to work on...just a idea....good luck | |
