In the discussion below on “Why are farmers so enamored with “Big Data”, I had several entries on yield monitor calibration. I am curious on how other farmers calibrate their combines?

Can you provide a little more detail on what kind of info you're looking for? Tactical details on the exact process, or goals of the calibration, or ??

Yield monitor calibration is just a matter of "teaching" the machine that "S" raw value from a yield or moisture sensor equates to "Y" yield or "M" moisture, and then software projects what Y and M will be for S- or S+ values, since you can't actually calibrate at every point along the curve.
