Northeast Nebraska - is toast just had a crop adjuster go through my dryland and say I could bale it if I wanted now or let cows out.

Thank god I have mostly irrigated but most of my neighbors aren't as lucky, there is a pretty good stretch going from south dakota border down to almost Norfolk on Highway 81 that will make 0-50 bushel corn maybe 100 bushel if you planted before middle of May but there wasn't that much put in before the week of rain.... Even some of my irrigated going over the hills is tasseling at 4 ft tall.... late planted.

dryland beans have been stuck at about a foot tall or less for 30 days.

climate said we got an inch near wausa, NE didnt even settle the dust, I'm thinking the market is going off rain models and they aren't worth a crap this year.

going on 8 weeks with .25-.45 inches of rain... since May 20th here...

find it hard to believe that Iowa and the rest of the dakota's are that much better with similar D-0 to D-1 droughts...
