Subject: Automatic shutoffs/lift on a drill simply?

Deep southern Illinois
I was looking at a John Deere 455 drill today, and it had 3 sections that lifted independently, using cellanoids. Basically you used constant hydraulic down pressure, and had switches in the cab that would reverse the flow to each section. Looked very simple. Could a person use a pro-700 to bypass the switch box and use accucontrol so it would lift and lower each section automatically? Already using the 700 for electric row clutches on a kinze planter. Am I missing something or would you basically just figure out if the cellanoid used positive voltage to switch, and wire things up? In my mind this would work slick
