I have a under sink Whirlpool charcoal filter on the cold water line going to the kitchen sink to get rid of the chlorine taste in our city water and it works fine. It sounds like you need a larger whole house filter on the water inlet line so you get the sand out of everything. I got my filter at Lowes but you may need to see the Culligan man.
