Subject: RE: Know nothing about drones

SC Wisconsin
Saw this at AirVenture in Oshkosh last month. http://pete2989.wixsite.com/airbuoyant
The guy said he was price competitive with the big DJI platform, approximately half the cost... but he only had a bare bones concept sprayer attached to a huge drone. The sprayer was simply a 5 gallon tank and a rinkydink boom/nozzle/pump setup, just a proof of concept machine. One hangup with his platform is the UAV itself was 55 lbs, so putting a payload on this puts you over the limit for the current regs for Part 107 pilots. It is encouraging to see people working on this and I expect we will continue to see concepts move to reality. Look at what we have available today in this space compared to 2007 and project out to 2027. I am sure we will see platforms that serve a niche in the market at an affordable price.
