So what's best case scenario for you guys. Let's say the water turns on and you get 2-3 inches this week what can that corn make now.
If we would get a good soaker in the next 5 days, and then continued rain, the good dryland could still do 170-180. However, there is already some poor dryland that no amount of rain will save.
If we don't get rain this week, but it starts raining the week of the 24th, probably in the 150-160 range.
My "guess" on the most likely scenario is this. A few lite showers to keep everyone's hopes up, but if the forecast is accurate we're looking at sub 150 bu dryland corn. Of course, if we don't pick up an inch in the next 30 days, probably look at 2012 type yields of 0 to 40 bu
The heat is also a concern. Going to keep the irrigated yield capped too. Expect irrigated to make 200-240 depending on farming pratices.
I think the notillers will win this year.
