Gary, I agree with you. But the bigger question is who owns the data? I think I own my own data and I am not going to give it to anyone for free. I can analyze my own data and I don't want some company having it. It is none of their business what I grow or how much or what I put on my crops or what inputs I have. The only time I have given up any of my data was when I agreed to exchange my data to Precision in exchange for a reduced cost monitor (and as far as they are concerned I farm 150 acres).

It really concerns me that people will just give their data away. I think people don't realize what their data is worth. They wouldn't just give their crops away, why their data?
