SouthCentral WI | So I had to set up a new laptop for myself. I know.... I'm old school. So I was going to make a list of software that I load up. A couple of caveats, I'm cheap and low tech. So here is the list in the load order.
Delete all the c**pware
AVG free version
Firefox
Open Office
Brothers Software (for network printer)
JPEGView ( with adapter for scrolling through pics with thumb wheel)
IZArc (unzipping tool)
Weeny Free PDF Merger
Foxit Reader (pdf reader)
VLC (video and music player)
Firefox addons ... Flash and video download, flash video download - utube 4k version, ublock origin
Oh,,,, and transfer my Firefox Profile folder
I think that is about everything.
What do you use ?? Anything better? Any complaints??
7Zip always seemed to lockup if the file was corrupt, which is why I use IZArc . Never got into the way Google Chrome works. Tried it but just couldn't get it to work for me.
