Subject: RE: New Deere 4640 screens

Leesburg, Ohio
As I said above, already been down that road, not interested in doing it again this time. Don't want to pay for all the mechanical drives just to throw it away and buy it all again. Before we would do that, we will order a conventional maxemerge 5 with prodrives and deere row clutches loke we have on our 16-30 corn planter. Even the new ones of those can still be run by our 2630 screens. And that would get us a new all-Deere planter at the cheapest cost, about $15,000 cheaper than a new e-drive planter.

And I was wrong above when I said the high-speed option was another $30-40k. It is actually an additional $60,000 on top of the e-drive option cost, or about $75,000 more than a new pro-drive planter with Seedstar 3. Then add the cost of the 4640 onto that, so that makes it $85,000 more than the new pro-drive planter. For a 16/32 row machine.
