Subject: RE: Onion growers

East Central Arkansas

Is that a way to try and make a larger bulb? I had a garden patch of onions this year and the info I got from Dixondale Farms who I purchased plants from said when the top broke over the bulb would not grow anymore and it was time to harvest. Had some the tops never would fall over on and just went ahead and harvested as they were large onions. Had several rains after onions started getting ready that probably contributed to them not getting mature when they should have. I am glad I went ahead and harvested when I did because we ended up getting over six inches of rain after I harvested.
