North Central Illinois | Wow! Tough deal for sure and I don't have any answers for you. As others have said try to get some oversight on her finances and either get her to move to a senior living place or at least get her involved with a senior group of some kind. After being married for decades losing your partner and facing the prospect of being alone for the rest of your life is frightening. I suspect she is just scared of being alone and is grasping at straws with the internet and her savings trying to avoid such a situation. Unfortunately the world is full of unscrupulous people willing to take advantage of someone like your mom. Good luck to you and your family. | |
