East Central SD | I would consider the suggestions above along with encouraging her to move to a senior living apartment. My mother was very lonely in her own home and taking care of yard and home was wearing on her. Although she didn't have the problem with men and wasteful spending, I can see how this can be a problem with widows(had a aunt that blew it all at the local casino). Now, mom has people to play cards with, put puzzles together with, and other activities. A noon meal is served and they all get together to eat. She has her own "support group" and they all look out for each other. | |
