NW Oh
What caught my eye is the hitch pin needs to be 1/2 way between the 2 yokes. We would knock out the cross in that universal by the carrier bearing every couple years. It would growl when turning. Centered the hitch pin on the front PTO shaft and all probs are gone and can turn as tight as we want and it is quiet as can be. Only took us 10 years to figure that one out. Had to drill a new hole in draw bar to get it centered. Might help your situation. We knocked out crosses your shearing pins???

Good luck.
