Subject: Woods chopper breaking pins

Pocahontas, Illinois
I've got a woods 208 pull type chopper that is breaking a lot of roll pins. We have used bolts at times too. It breaks them when turning . It doesn't matter if the grass is heavy or not. We think replacing the carrier bearing would cure it. How do the experts decide if the u-joints are shot as well? Machine is older but well maintained and greased. Anything else we should check? Should the bearing bracket be replaced at the same time?
