FWIW, Consumer Reports rates 3 Samsungs and one LG over the highest rated Apple iPhone.
I have an Android phone and my wife has an iPhone and I like mine best. Apple can be a pain to deal with sometimes and I really like the back button on my phone.
That said, it probably is just a matter of whatever you get used to using.
