Glad to see you are still active in the precision world. I met you a number of years ago through UMAC and always appreciated your thoughts and work.
I'm not a John Deere guy (at least on the precision side of things) but see your concern.
I work with Ag Leader and Climate.
I share the same concern as you when dealing with Climate. They are adamant that the farmer has control of their data but yet they have no way to even export satellite imagery. Their whole platform is predicated on sending them data and when asked to give it back they ask "why".
I understand your concern with JD but personally I would trust them long before I would Climate.
I do like the conveniences that Climate offers but hopefully Ag Leader can stay only a year behind or maybe even catch up.
