Good Post...
We just found out about this the other night. We have a niece that is a school teacher 2nd year and very tech savy, but she gave us a call and asked where our daughter was.....and we told her she was with our HS band at a drum and bugle corps concert in Cincinnati, and our niece says..."I know", and so then she told us how she knew.
So we checked with our phones...and sure enough.

She taught us to turn the function on / off.

One way it was meant to be used was for social networking...like if a person was visiting a certain area, then it could be used to see if that person could meet up with another in that area. However, if that tech would be in the hands of wrongful person...well then...who knows ???

Its like anything else, knowledge is power and use things in moderation, wisely and common sense.

My wife and I used a Life360 app on our phones before the HS band went to Disney this early spring as a tracking device for some of the kids, worked well for chaperones and the kids for getting together.
