S.C. Wisconsin | We no longer have a local lumber yard. In defense of Menards, I miss our Menards when we winter in Arizona because of the huge selection of lumber. Actually in my case the quality of lumber was better than our former local lumber yard, plus I get to sort it myself. I suppose there is a difference in Menards stores but I don't have a problem with the employees at our local Menards, if I want help they usually are friendly and willing to help. How they attract customers is when you have a project they generally have everything you need for the project. In Arizona I deal with Home Depot, Lowes, and a local lumber yard. Menards beat them hands down for building projects. Just saying.
