Subject: RE: Field IQ Sprayer choosing Minimum Rate over Target Rate

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Not familiar with Field IQ but here, the minimum rate is used to prevent tip check off or poor patterns during times of low ground speed. It is based on pressure in some systems and flow in other systems.

With a Raven or Ag Leader system, this value is based on flow in units/time. In the US this would be gallons/minute, not gallons/acre. This value is generally factored internally to a proportionate value when some booms are ON and others OFF. This value can be found by trial and error or by taking the flow per tip at the lowest acceptable pressure and multiplying by the number of tips.
