Subject: Hand spraying Grazon in waterways by beans

South-central Nebraska
Trying to kill broadleaf trees from 3-9 feet tall that magically keep appearing in grassed waterways and ditches. Am I safe in coating tree leaves with Grazon and not have drift/volatilizing to beans close by in field? Mixing about 1 qt per 10 gallons water. Is there something better to use this time of year with effective control?

I've done this before with no problems, maybe I was lucky? Either way, I need to kill these trees as they are growing up into the center pivots.
