Subject: Interviewing candidates for a new K-12 Superintendent this morning.

Southeast Colorado
I've been a board member for 12 years but this is my first time I've had a new Supt coming on board. We are being helped by a (paid) professional search team. I hope all goes well but my initial thoughts are..............that I'm not impressed with the help we have received. I may elaborate more on this thread at the end of the day or at least after our decision is made. Just wanted to throw this out there and seek any last second advice. We are set to make a choice by the end of today but I'm not afraid to table this decision because I'm not sure that our finalists were vetted to my satisfaction. Nonetheless I'm sure today will be very interesting. I'm also really thankful that Mother Nature gave us an inch of rain yesterday afternoon because I still have planting to wrap up and wheat that needs cut. Pretty sure I would have had incredible anxiety today had it not been too wet to be in the field. Wish us luck!
