He wasn't talking about the OP lifting the engine. He was replying to the guy who lifts his mower with the front end loader and crawls underneath to sharpen the blades. His point about trusting hydraulic hoses is probably a valid one. While the odds of one blowing while you happen to be sharpening your blades are pretty low I'm not sure it is worth the risk.
