You won't have to worry about excess mature size. The growth curve is different from our Herefords. Herefords have a much longer, flatter growth curve.Fleckvieh have a rapid curve that flattens sooner. I have had a bunch of Fleckvieh bulls (to use on my Herefords) and they all matured between 2000 and 2400 lbs. Very good, "smart" breeders. I would certainly not discount the female sale. A Fleckvieh/Hereford rwf cow is much superior to a bwf cow. You may not keep them, but there is a really good demand by those that have used those red baldy females.
