East Central SD | I've driven from Kones Corner (US 81 & SD 22) to Hendricks, Mn and the pictures you posted could have been taken any where along this path. Terrible destruction of crops that is hard to imagine unless you see for yourself. There is a lot of hilly ground that needs to be seeded down to something to keep this land from blowing or washing away, but with all the chemical down, this will be difficult. All the inputs were put into this crop except for a second spraying of herbicide on the soybeans. I really feel for all these guys, and some are friends and relatives of mine. | |
