Western illinois
This would be an interesting year to see drone pictures from different areas. Our corn is getting big enough to make it difficult to see how uneven it is from the road. There is one major difference in this crop as compared to the last 2. That is the wet spots that were stunted or drowned out completely in May. Pollination will be spread out. That will make it extremely difficult to properly time fungicide applications. There are also some areas that have missed most, if not all, of these last beneficial rains. I'm not killing this crop at all. I'm not planning on anywhere near the crop I had last year, either. I'll be happy if I come within 50bpa.
