You sound like my mom. Gotta get it in the fridge or its spoiled.
When I tell her that I order a pizza in town and it sits on the seat of the pickup for 36-48 hrs until I eat it all, her face turns pale.
We cook late. Usually 10 pm when we get in. I routinely leave stuff out to cool down until 6 to 7 am before it gets put in the fridge. Nobody has died here, yet....
