NE SD | Always go the extra mile to do things properly (legally) ESPECIALLY when dealing with family. It seems counter intuitive but those close to us are the easiest to offend and the hardest to communicate honestly and openly with especially when it comes to money. I know allot of family operations that have split up or went belly up because things were not spelled out and written down in the beginning. On a slightly different subject....Moms and Dads its our job to get this done for our kids or other heirs before we kick the bucket. We think we are keeping piece by not defining things and using attorney's etc but in reality we are just kicking the can down the road and putting the burden on our grieving children to figure it out after we are gone and that is not likely to draw a family closer together. | |
