| Give them time.
Deere and GM both are trying to make it that people just buy a use agreement. The shiny tractor you buy in the future will be theirs, you only will be buying the rights for the 'use'. Never mind you will be still on the hook for all use wear items, damage, etc. Why do you think they have been shoving all that electronic garbage into every nook and cranny they can in them. To make it impossible to run with out THEIR firmware. And o yea, they are also working to make it illegal to 'hack' it.
