I'm running Foxpro. I've written thousands of lines of code for that program. It's still used in many business applications. Recently a local business had a computer go bad and it damaged some of the hard drive. The company that sold them the original program couldn't help them with the database. I was able to pull all the index files and databases off their hard drive and using my version of Foxpro I got their system up with no data loss.
However the Foxpro that I have is a 16bit program and won't run on my Windows10 computer. I tired running the DOS version in DOSBox .74 but it's flaky and I'd rather run the Windows version so I can do reports. The Windows version I have doesn't run on a 64bit computer either. |
