Normal operating temp is around 160-180. At that temp it will raise a blister if you hold a steel line too long. Minimum temp is 130, at that temp you can hold a steel line for about 1 second before it becomes too painful. This is almost universal among all adults, 125 you can hold almost indefinitely 135 hurts almost instantly.

You will need to get a IR temp gauge to see if it is actually too hot.

If it is actually too hot common problems are a valve stuck open and staying on high pressure standby or the engine fan not running fast enough
