and if Momma's happy... We got a Maytag in '78 when we were expecting the first kid. It lasted until ... I think '99. It didn't die so much as it developed a noise and my repairman said it was going to cost more to fix than it was worth. Bought a new... I think it was Magic Chef. Suposedly same thing as a Maytag, made by same company. Lasted until this summer. Wife and daughter did a little research, Cosumer's Reports and the like. Decided this was the way to go. She's happy, clothes are clean, we are enviromentally correct, what more could you ask for. Salesman said a service contract probably was not necessary IF we put a good surge protector with a guarantee. It seems the right detergent is one of the keys to happiness with these. Don't skimp and make sure it is HE detergent. |
