Statesville, NC | Basically, first gear high range (the one you are not supposed to use) ratio is almost exactly halfway between 4th and 5th low. So I'll call it 4.5 gear. I can either go 3-4-5-6; or 3-4.5-6. I have the choice. Either way it's even steps. To poster 1973: I can still start in 1st or 2nd and follow this pattern, it just makes wider steps and eliminates one shift going up through the gears. | |
