If they can average 4lb/day for 30 days on thin dry cow then maybe 2lb/day is feasible on thin lactating cows. None of these gals look to be real heavy milkers. Am now wondering if a lot of compensatory gain has already been used and silage trial may not perform as well. Guess will know in a month or so.
How much did they gain pics ?
