I've seen some pretty shady shenanigans pulled.


The handful of things I have bought in the past; weather land, equipment, buildings has always had a "As is" clause for this exact reason. If the posters contract had said buyer will be purchasing asset in as is condition from inspection on date XYZ he could have a case. Now, is it really worth messing up a $250,000 purchase over a $1,000 water troth? I don't know... In no way am I defending the seller, I think it's very poor form to be pulling things the day before closing. Fortunately I have never had a personal experience like this but I swear NAT is just filled with stories of people doing slezzy things like the posters story. It's truly a shame you can't buy things on someones word and a handshake, makes me sad.
