Subject: RE: Sensor 1 gps speed sensor

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I've always mounted them outside on top of the cab. I've usually used a small square piece of flat steel that is secured to the cab top with either double faced tape or some 3M adhesive. As far as the tree branch situation, I've seen where folks have made a tether out of a piece of twine or something of the like so if the device gets brushed off, it may survive the incident since it doesn't fall far.

You may lose signal under the trees due to the obstruction. Since you are using this as a speed source to a 350 for monitoring purposes only, an occasional loss of speed is not much of an issue. If you were using it to control the rate then this might be a problem.
