Subject: Rolling rye after planting beans?

SC IA
Will spray rye to kill then go in immediately and plant beans with 15" split row planter. Thinking about rolling rye after planting so the rye stubble will be shorter at harvest, with 3' rye we have had some problems with rye stubble in fall if it is little tough. It has been wet enough here that the rye is going to be 4' high when we plant. Has anyone rolled rye as I am considering,if so please share your experience,go or bad and any advice.
