I know you are organic, so probably are on a fertility program where it is difficult to lower P applications without running out of other nutrients as you deal with a manure package for your needs I'd guess - for those who will advise that route. ;)

Oats may use some P as it grows, but since it's a cover crop won't it just recycle shortly back into the soil? I'm not sure where the gain (well, loss) would come from, unless you haul something away that contains higher levels of P in the crop. Even grazing a cover crop, the livestock manure would be recycling for the most part?

Maybe my message should be more; how are you achieving a removal goal, as a cover recycles, doesn't remove?
