Haven't had any issues with Orioles, but we had a Robin that attacked it's reflection in several windows all day while we were gone. It actually left blood stains on the glass. The newspaper trick worked. We've had Baltimore Orioles build nests in trees near the house the last three years. I cut seed bag strings in 12-18 in. sections and hang them on branches to help attract them. Their nest is like a hanging pouch usually tied to the tips of small limbs (I imagine to keep it safe from predators like coons.
