This is why I love our local ethanol plant, they charge zero drying cost for anything under 18% they only take shrink which you're going to get no matter we're you take it.

A number of years ago I sold some corn through one of our local elevators but the corn was still hauled from my farm to the ethanol plant. The elevator hauled the corn for me I just paid them the trucking charge. What really ticked me off the elevator charged me a drying cost even though the ethanol plant never charged them. It did me no good to fight the drying cost. That was the last time that elevator got any of my corn or ever will.
