Subject: RE: No Section Control with GS2 Rate Controller on 1770NT Planter

NE Ohio
The Liquid Fertilizer setup is normal except the flow control valve information is left blank. It operates normally with the section valves turning on and off with the master switch, flow rate and alarms monitor when the master switch is on, etc. The issue is not having the fertilizer operation work with Section Control.

I did setup up a Pull Behind Sprayer with the control valve blank. This caused the rate controller to throw an error however. With one selected it does allow the second operation to show up in Section Control. In talking to our dealer AMS tech on Friday he suggested running it as a Pull Behind Sprayer with a dummy flow control valve and calibration entered. Since the ground driven pump output will run at the target rate even though the control valve wiring isn't connected to anything, the rate controller should work as expected. We plan on trying this once things dry out here in a few days. We'll also try this with the Liquid Fertilizer setup to see if the addition of the control valve allows the operation to show up in Section Control.
