Subject: Closing wheels for planting into green rye

South Central IN
Looking for your input on the best wheels for planting green into tall rye. I'm using a Kinze 3500 15", only a coulter up front. I currently have a set of Schlagel wheel running about a 1/4" apart. I am having trouble with rye material wrapping between the hub and tail wheel forcing the wheel to drag. Schlagel suggested running them in the interlocking position with the use of a wedge kit. I have the wedges ordered, but I f this doesn't take care of the issue, I'll need to buy a different set of closing wheel. It will be used on everything from conventional to notill green planting, from sand to dry clay. Thanks for the input.
